Encoded.in Support Policy
(Returns refers to Refunds or Exchanges)
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since delivery of your item, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Thereafter you are only covered under the warranty terms of the respective manufacturer of the item you own.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, does not qualify for return.
To request a return (refund or exchange) please go to “Returns” option under Customer Services menu. OR mail your request to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The items must be unused, in original packing and the serial numbers must match with that on invoice/receipt/proof of purchase.
If you want to refund your received item, mail us at email@example.com within 7 days of delivery of your product. We will instruct you or arrange for retrieval of product according to your location.
Before sending back the product to us for refund you have to certify that the product is unused in original condition and undamaged by accepting the terms at the time of refund request.
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If your refund request is approved, then a credit will automatically be applied to your original mode of payment, within a couple of days. If your order was Cash-on-delivery, then as per your consent we will refund your amount by any of these methods: electronic bank transfer, cheque, demand draft or Pay order. A sum of Rs. 50 will be deducted as service fee for physical means of transfer of money i.e. except electronic bank transfer.
If your refund request is declined, the reason may be damaged product (unlikely or not due to shipping), not the product which we sold to you or the serial number of product doesn’t match with that on invoice or receipt. Then no refund will be offered and the same product will be sent back to you if you are ready to pay for the shipment charges.
The products we sell are quality inspected, tested and are packed in a thorough manner for shipping. However, in a case (whose chance is close to zero) you receive a dead product or a product with manufacturing defect we will replace them free of cost with same product. All you have to do is request for exchange from our website or by mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will instruct you or arrange for item retrieval of item OR arrange for onsite replacement by item manufacturer.
We provide exchange only for unopened and originally sealed items. (Besides compatibility issues, for such cases refer to next paragraph).
If somehow your needs or mind changed after we shipped the product and you want to exchange the product with another product and willing to pay the shipping cost for return of your original product and a service fee of Rs 50, then we can do that also. Your original product must be unopened and sealed. Just request the same from our website or by mailing to email@example.com. We will instruct you or arrange for product retrieval on your expenses. After we receive the product and inspect it we will generate replacement product on our site and you have to pay the difference between the two products (refund in case of price of new product is less) and we will ship the replaced item to you.
Exchanges under Compatibility Issues
Every product listen in Encoded.in is with detailed specifications and compatibility assistance services are also provided. Despite of that if compatibility issue occurs with your purchased item then let us know about your issue either from customer services at our website or by mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of delivery. We will recognize your issue and if valid, authorize it for replacement. We will instruct you or arrange for retrieval of item as per your location. You have to bear the shipping cost of item for return. We will generate the exchange compatible item on our website and send the link to you after we receive and inspect the original item. You have to pay for the difference between the new and original item (refund in case of price of new item is less). And we will ship the new compatible item to you.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund after 15 days of your refund approval, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
